Canon lens range can be a bit 'daunting for any new SLR or DSLR camera owners. The main reason is probably the fact that Canon offers more than 60 goals for its range of SLR cameras and DSLRs. This lens line-up includes Primes, zoom, tilt & shift, macro, wide angle, telephoto and telephoto lenses.
Canon introduces Although many types of lenses,EF line, is the most popular is because these lenses with EF bayonet fit all Canon SLRs and DSLRs. Besides this, Canon also makes the EF-S lens range, the distance you live in a consumer Canon APS-C CMOS like the Rebel series. The EF-S cameras can only APS-C used, but these cameras can also use regular EF lenses. Each Canon EF canclassified into the following classes:
Prime (fixed) lenses
Ultra Wide – Primes usually with a focal length of 20 mm or less like EF14mm f/2.8L II USM. Used primarily for landscape photography.
Wide – First between 20 and 50 mm 1.4 L USM EF35mm like. Used primarily for landscape photography.
Standard & Telephoto – Primes between 50 and 100mm, as the brilliant EF85mm F1.2L II USM. Ideal for portraits.
Tele – First between 100 and 300mm as the EF 300 mmf/2.8L IS USM. Normally used for wildlife and sports photography.
Super Telephoto – 400mm Primes and more like the EF 600mm f/4L IS USM, Bird, sports and nature photography used.
Zoom (variable) Lenses
Wide Zoom – Zooms in the beginning between 16 and 22 mm with a focal length as the EF17-40mm f/4L USM. Useful for landscapes and weddings.
Standard Zoom – Zooms in the beginning between 24 and 28 mm side and a wide range between 70 and 200 mm, such as the EF 24-105mm f/4LUSM. Useful for weddings and portraits.
Tele-Zoom – zoom in, which start at 28 mm, width at the end, with a range between 70 and 300 mm, such as the popular EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM. Used for a variety of applications such as weddings, wildlife, birds and street photography.
EF-S
Lenses with a special holder, with the only Canon's APS-C sensor cameras like the Rebel series can be used. The cameras with APS-C has a 1.6-foldMultiplier effect on the normal EF lens, hence the need for the lenses, such as the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, which is useful for landscape photography with the Rebel series.
Macro Lenses
