A few years ago, Canon was the first sub-$ 1,000 camera with 300D Rebel release. Quickly followed with the Nikon D40, and was able to later versions from Canon and Nikon DSLR beginners, to increase technology and reduce prices for these cameras of great prestige, with each new version. Both Canon and Nikon have had great success in customer satisfaction record.

So, as Nikon has sweetened its new pot with the D3000? SinceWe made some very significant improvements compared to the wildly popular D40, which has now been in production. There are also some improvements on the D60, which will also disappear as the old camera. Here are some improvements compared to the Nikon D60:

LCD panel is improved from 2.7 "to 3"
AF was increased from 3 data points to 11 points of recognition
AF 3D processing
Starting price is $ 599 (including kit lens)

RegardingCanon Rebel XSi range starting price is even lower for the Nikon, as it is for the Canon, even though the Canon XSi has the price since the release of the Rebel T1i decreases with its latest processor and video capabilities. Some things to consider as you ponder the decision to purchase the camera.

Neither the Nikon or Canon Rebel XSi D3000 are video, so if you have the video on your DSLR, you're going to spend a little 'more to get thelater stage, either the Nikon or Canon Rebel T1i D5000.
Both cameras produce great pictures. This was true with all the entry level cameras from Nikon and Canon – the award-winning image quality.
Both models allow the use of interchangeable lenses for this line of development and much more expensive digital SLR cameras. Other lens manufacturers produce high-quality lenses for Canon and Nikon, which can be less expensive.
