There are also plans to publish 8 GB and 16 GB in the near future. The map, which we seek today is the top of the line 4 GB SanDisk Extreme III SD.

SanDisk are very proud of their new card and some impressive claimsSD Card Series III. This should be the case, since this is the top of the range of their current crop of products SD card.

The statistical base for these cards are impressive and SanDisk are quoting at least read and write at 20 MB / sec This is one of the fastest times that there are on any type of memory card including flash cards, Memory Stick Pro and SD cards coming . The way in which the memory card that runs a business is determined by using a technology called ESP or Enhanced Super-ParallelProcessing technology. ESP uses advanced 32-bit RISC processing and advanced algorithms.

They worked closely with many of the major camera manufacturers to ensure the technology has been targeted for the SD card market. ESP has an acceleration flash data bus architecture and super-parallel write and read operations, and this should allow data to two or three times the rate of SD cards are more competitive transferred.

It 'a little' a bite, but appears to be affectivewith gnashing of bytes. One of the main features of these other SanDisk SD card that has worked hard to ensure durability and reliability in relation to the Extreme III cards are the range and tested in extreme conditions from -13 to +185 degrees Celsius. So, in theory, if you take the disc, the images of the inside of the freezer, or spend much time photographing the Death Valley are, then this is the card for you.

Another important point of this is that SanDisk SD Cardwith a lifetime warranty and immediate replacement of defective products. It 'also be tested for resistance to vibration.

We test for the 4GB SanDisk Extreme III SD Card completed showed that the technology is used by SanDisk, the job very well. Contains more than it is against as Sony and Panasonic and holds about 35% – 40% faster than most of the corresponding SD cards on the market.

In our day to day testing of Extreme III SD card proved to be extremely fast indaily use. The synchronization of large files on the SD card showed especially the market-leading write speed performance. To put this in perspective, more or less than 200 KB of flash files at a time when so rapidly that the time to read the file name on the screen. The transfer of large files from hard drives, the card was only a short, you can just run music files without losing quality or drop into the background while performing other tasks.

Pros: Outstanding performanceand reliability, especially when writing data to the SD card and do not forget that a lifetime warranty.

Disadvantages: Not many, but I think it's a bit 'on the expensive side compared to other suppliers and SD card formats.
