Canon EF-S lens

range of Canon lenses can be a little 'intimidating for any new SLR or DSLR camera owners. The main reason for this is probably the fact that Canon offers more than 60 interchangeable for its range of digital and SLR cameras. This lens line-up includes Primes, zoom, tilt & shift, macro, wide angle lenses, telephoto lenses and telephoto lenses.

Although many types of lenses Canon makes, isEF lineup is the most popular, as these lenses with EF bayonet fit all Canon SLR and DSLR cameras. Besides this, Canon makes the S-EF lineup that the sensors fit on Canon camera series consumer with a CMOS APS-C as the standard Rebel. The S-EF can be used only camera C on the GSP, but these cameras can also use regular EF lenses. Each Canon EF lens canclassified into one of the following classes:

Prime (fixed) lenses

Ultra Wide – Primes usually with a focal length of 20mm or less like the f / 2.8 L II USM EF14mm. primarily used for landscapes.
Wide – the first between 20 and 50mm f/1.4L USM as EF35mm. primarily used for landscapes.
Standard & Telephoto lens – the first between 50 and 100 mm, as the brilliant EF85mm F1.2L II USM. Ideal for portraits.
Tele – primes between 100 and 300 mm EF 300mm f asf / 2,8 L IS USM. Usually used for sports and nature photography.
Super Telephoto – 400mm Primes and more like the EF 600mm 4 L IS USM, for birds, nature and sports photography used.

Zoom (variable) Lenses
Wide Zoom – zoom start between 16 and 22 mm focal length, such as USM EF17-40mm f/4L USM. Useful for landscapes and weddings.
Standard Zoom – magnifies between 24 and 28mm at the end and a range between 70 and 200 mm, as the beginning of the EF 24-105mm 4 LIS USM. Useful for weddings and portraits.
Tele-Zoom – zoom starting at 28 mm at the end of a wide range of between 70 and 300 mm, such as the popular EF70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM. Used for a variety of applications such as weddings, animals, birds and street photography.

EF-S targets
Lenses with a special support which can only be used with the Canon Rebel series cameras APS-C sensor like '. Cameras with APS-C sensor has a 1.6xmultiplier effect on normal EF, hence the need for lenses, the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, the series is useful for landscape photography with the Rebels.

Macro Lenses
